These celebrities, ranging from Mandira Bedi to Arjun Kapoor, took a break from social media.
1- Shilpa Shetty:
Stalking celebrities on social media can become rather addictive, especially if your target is a serial social media poster. What happens, though, if they go off the grid? Shilpa Shetty is the most recent Bollywood actress to take a digital detox.
“Soooo bored with the routine, everything looking the same… going off social media until I find a new avatar,” Shetty said in a blacked-out post recently. That must have sent her 25.3 million fans into a tizzy. What will be their next target? Here’s a list of Bollywood and Hollywood celebrities who took a social media sabbatical:
2- Mandira Bedi:
Mandira Bedi was seen laughing and smiling by a pool almost a year after her husband, Raj Kaushal, died. Trolls pursued her, making disparaging remarks about Bedi. However, the actor refused to take the bait and chose to remain mute about the detractors. “Always the aim and the attempt,” she wrote in a piece about “thanks, progress, and grace.” Then she turned off comments on her pool photos… We’re hoping to spend some quiet, therapeutic time in the pool.
3- Fatima Sana Shaikh:
On April 25, 2021, Fatima Sana Shaikh announced on Instagram that she will be taking a hiatus from social media. “Taking a break from social media. “Guys, stay careful,” she wrote on Instagram at the time. The actress had recovered from COVID-19 and was on the mend at the time. She didn’t specify why she was taking a break.
4- Aamir Khan:
Aamir Khan, star of ‘Lagaan,’ also deserted social media on his birthday. He began by thanking everyone for their love and warmth on his birthday, then said that he would be leaving Twitter and Instagram, but that he would continue to interact as before. The 56-year-old also revealed that his production company, Aamir Khan Productions, has launched a new official portal that will keep fans up to speed on him and his projects.
5- Sonakshi Sinha:
Actors Sonakshi Sinha, Saqib Saleem, and filmmaker Shashank Khaitan have all decided to leave Twitter in the wake of the Sushant Singh Rajput death case to avoid negativity and toxicity. Others who have left the microblogging site include Zaheer Iqbal, Neha Bhasin, and Aayush Sharma.
Several other actors chose to take a break from Social Media for unavoidable reasons.
