Vir Das: Priyanka Chopra is the Global Indian

All my shows are sold out, and Americans are giving standing ovations to last my couple of shows. But my success is nowhere compared to Priyanka Chopra- comedian Vir Das in a recent interview. Furthermore, Vir Das called her The Global Indian and appreciated her breaking the initial door for every Indian to work in America. Talking of the big difference, the comedian said he is performing on the Tonight Show. Meanwhile, Priyanka Chopra is one of the judges on the show. Jimmy Fallon is also the judge on the show. Vir das is continued doing shows across India and America. His Stand up unique Vir Das: Landing is coming on the OTT platform Netflix. This is his fourth stand-up special with Netflix.

This stand-up special depicts the childhood story of the actor. The actor talked about the struggle and making a place in the world. It was released in December 2022. When Ranveer Allahbadia said, You and Priyanka Chopra are the only ones who are successful in America. Vir talked about an incident in America where he walked into the room, and everyone said you are an Indian like Priyanka Chopra. I was performing on the Tonight show while Priyanka Chopra was on the show’s couch. So you can see the figure out the big difference.

Meanwhile, Priyanka Chopra attended Vir Das’s show in Los Angeles last year and even called him Brave and Inspiring. Even she enjoyed the show and tears laughing. Vir also thanked her for coming and “opening the doors for him.”

Vir Das’s spent his childhood in four different countries, and thus English became his primary language. When he was just a year old, he traveled to Africa from Indore. He has studied Economics. But he debuted in Bollywood with Love Aaj Kal (2009). He did a couple of movies, and some went into Hits like Delhi Belly. He did 11 films and even appreciated his time in Bollywood. But getting into Stand Up Comedy gave him more fame, and he even enjoyed doing that.

Though he faces much backlash from the government, even feeling the consequences of the comedy, he continues to do comedy. Now every show of his gets a standing ovation. Last year he did 183 shows across the world.
