On Monday Night, Thomas Markle was hospitalized due to a major stroke. According to TMZ, the 77-year-old former television lighting director was brought in the ambulance in Tijuana, Mexico, while he was breathing with the help of an oxygen mask.
He could not communicate with the paramedics and, therefore, was forced to write down his symptoms on a piece of paper.
“My father is recovering in [the] hospital,” Thomas’ 57-year-old daughter, Samantha Markle, later told the Daily Mail in a statement.
This is not the first time when the father suffered from a stroke. He was seen missing from Meghan and Harry’s Royal wedding, for which the reason was rumored to be a heart problem.

Thomas’ declining health has been sparking conflicts for a long time as Samantha notably criticized Meghan for commemorating Nelson Mandela while in battle with their father. “How about you pay tribute to your father?!” Samantha tweeted in 2018. “Enough is enough. Act like a humanitarian, act like a woman. If our father dies, it’s on you, Meg!”

Sadly, this time, Thomas would not be able to attend Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee in London next week due to poor health. Thomas is currently connecting with family and close friends through text messaging but cannot talk, which means it is a lengthy path for him to recover fully.
Speaking on ITV’s Good Morning Britain, the author explained: “He was alright, but he’d just fallen over in Rosarito, he’d been shopping and he told me that some other people had helped him stand up.
“But he is a man who’s already had heart problems and he wasn’t feeling too good. On the other hand, he was very excited about coming to London for the Jubilee.”
Praying for his excellent health, stay tuned for more such updates.
