The MCU Is Hurt by Morbius’ Post-Credits Scene

Morbius, from Sony Pictures, has finally arrived in cinemas throughout the world after an almost ludicrous number of delays. After attempting to cure himself of a rare blood condition, Jared Leto’s titular character becomes a vampire by mistake.

It’s the next episode in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe, after Venom: Let There Be Carnage. Was Sony, on the other hand, successful in developing another major property like Venom?

Well, based on the evaluations and comments, the answer is a resounding no. While Tom Hardy’s first film received mixed reviews, it did have the advantage of featuring a character who was already well-known; Morbius does not.

To make matters worse, the film includes two post-credits sequences that left many fans dissatisfied and perplexed throughout the world.

Spoilers after the trailer. Don’t continue reading, if you are going to watch the movie.

Shortly after the credits roll, viewers are greeted by the same purple crack in the sky seen in Spider-Man: No Way Home, but this time above Michael Morbius’ metropolis. The scene then turns to a jail cell, where Michael Keaton’s Adrian Toomes from the film Homecoming gets transferred into this alternate universe.

The judges decide to let him go because there are no records of him or his offenses. This leads to the second scenario, in which Morbius meets Vulture in a secluded area, now dressed in full robotic gear. Keaton asks Leto’s character whether he’d be interested in forming a “decent” gang, alluding to the fact that taking down Spider-Man is his ultimate aim
