The teaser for John Wick’s prequel The Continental has been released and has impressed. The series is meant to give viewers a look at what the world of Wick looked like before the events in the first film. The three-part series featuring Mel Gibson, Colin Woodell, and others will debut on Peacock at the end of September 2023.

The series also stars Peter Greene and Ben Robson. Ayomide Adegun, Nhung Kate, and Katie McGrath are also featured. According to the official synopsis, “The three-part event will explore the history behind the iconic hotel for assassins that is the centerpiece of the John Wick Universe through the eyes and action of a young Winston Scott who’s pulled into the Hellscape of 1970s New York City to confront a past he believed he had left behind.”

The article continues, “Winston charted a deadly path through the hotel’s underworld to seize the future hotel he will rule.” The series revolves around the Continental Hotel chain, a notorious assassin center that was also featured in the John Wick movies. The teaser is action-packed, mysterious, and dangerous. It ticks all the boxes that fans were expecting.

Filming began in Budapest in November 2021. Albert Hughes directed the first, third, and second episodes. Charlotte Brandstorm directed episode two. The show is produced by Lionsgate Television, and Thunder Road Pictures and includes Greg Coolidge. Derek Kolstad Shawn Simmons and Kirk Ward are the writers.
