Web Series Masoom: Actress Samara Tijori, who is playing the lead character in the web series ‘Masoom,’ says that her character in the show is going, telling the truth about the whole murder mystery and how she is ridiculed for it.
The show’s story revolves around the mysterious murder of a woman and how her daughter suspects her father’s involvement. Explaining the mystery of her character, Samara said, “The best part of my character is that she is the only one trying to establish the truth by going against following everyone else in this situation.
“Since she has a mental health issue of concern, no one is taking her words seriously. But you see, that doesn’t change the truth, right I think it’s the same thing that happens in our society too, where if someone tries to search for the truth by going against the system, we are the truth-tellers. ridicule him.”

He further explained, “It’s easy to say, ‘He’s crazy, don’t listen to him. It also reveals how we treat someone with a mental health issue. We don’t say that to someone who has a physical health problem, such as a broken leg, for example”.
Samara, the daughter of veteran actor Deepak Tijori and who previously appeared in the Abhishek Bachchan-starter Bob Biswas’, believes that for an artist or any human, childhood trauma can ruin a person and nowhere else. Somewhere this show is touching those notes too.
Samara said, “Since it’s a thriller, I can’t speak more than that, saving it for the audience to see and find out.”
‘Masoom’ also starring Boman Irani, Upasana Singh, Manjari Phadnis, Veer Rajwant Singh, Manu Rishi Chadha, Akashdeep Arora, Sarika Singh, Sukhpal Singh – directed by Mihir Desai – will stream on Disney Plus Hotstar from June 17.
