Mahindra launches Electric SUV that will run 375km on a single charge

Due to rising petrol-diesel prices, people are getting attracted to electric vehicles. In this series, the legendary auto company Mahindra & Mahindra has also launched its electric compact SUV XUV400, based on the XUV300 compact SUV. Booking of this Mahindra SUV will start on January 26 and be made available globally across India. The company said that in the first phase, the XUV400 would be made available across 34 cities in India. Deliveries of the XUV400 EL will begin in March this year. The Diwali launch for the XUV400 EC could happen during the festive season. The most important thing is that the company has given a three-year warranty on this electric SUV. Apart from this, the battery and motor will have a warranty of 8 years or 160,000 km (whichever is earlier).

Talking about the battery, the Mahindra XUV400 EC gets a 34.5 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, capable of generating 150PS power and 310 Nm torque. It can cover a distance of 375 km on a single charge. It comes with two options 3.3 kW and a 7.2 kW charger. The XUV400 EL, on the other hand, is powered by a 39.4 kWh lithium-ion battery, capable of producing 150 PS of power and 310 Nm of torque. With this, a 7.2 kW charger is available. It runs 456 km on a single charge.

Talking about the speed, the company claims that it can do 0-100 kph in 8.3 seconds. And its top speed is said to be 150 mph. It runs in three different driving modes Fun, Fast and Fearless.

Mahindra XUV400 Electric SUV Price

Mahindra XUV400 EV price starts at Rs 15.99 lakh and goes up to Rs 18.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The automaker said in a press release that this is the introductory price for the first 5,000 bookings of the electric SUV. Mahindra also claimed that it is targeting to deliver 20,000 units of the XUV400 within a year of its launch.
