Hollywood Diva Angelina Jolie turned 47 on 4th June 2022. In her honor, we have shared some fond memories and achievements of her, including when her paths crossed with the King of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan!
Shah Rukh Khan is the world’s most famous actor, and many A-list celebrities have come in contact with him in some other manner. The same is the case with Angelina Jolie.
The incident occurred at the first-ever IIFA ceremony held in London’s Millennium Dome. Yukta Mookhey and Anupam Kher were hosting the event when Angelina appeared on the stage, wearing a gorgeous orchid pink gown, with Shah Rukh Khan by her side, holding her hands as they both came to give out an award.
Taking the dais, Shah Rukh said, “Good evening, once again. This is nice. And yes, more so now, because I’m in the company of Angelina.” Prompted by Shah Rukh, Angelina joined her hands and said, “Namaste, India.”
Shah Rukh Khan even made a light mood comment when Sanjay Leela Bhansali came to receive the award instead of Aishwarya Rai. He said, “We have to make sure Angelina knows this isn’t Aishwarya Rai,” which made Angelina laugh.
Happy 47th Birthday, Angelina Jolie! Let’s Have A Trip Down The Memory Lane!
However, Just like other Hollywood A-listers, Angelina isn’t a stranger to India. She had visited India in 2006 to shoot her film A Mighty Heart, which also casts the beloved late Irrfan Khan. At that time, she enjoyed her time in India, exploring and participating in tourist activities.
In the recent promotions for her film Eternals, she talked about her love for India and made a wish to return to India soon.
“I don’t know if it’s the density of the population, but there is this (feeling of) humanity which is very present. Be it on the trains or in the streets, you feel right (when you are) together. I felt a part of the country. I felt the energy, the intensity, and the humanity. During an interview, I want to come back again soon,” she told Hindustan Times.
