Is there going to be a fourth volume in the Guardians of the Galaxy series?
According to the official summary of the third volume, “Still grieving over the loss of Gamora,” Peter Quill rallies the team to protect the universe and one member of their team, a mission that could spell the end for the Guardians. According to what’s been said, a fourth volume of the Guardians of the Galaxy World has not yet been announced.

In 2022, director James Gunn said to Deadline that “This is the end of us. This team of Guardians will be the last people see.” He continued, “It is big, it is dark and it’s different than what people may expect it to be.” I want to stay true to the story, and to the characters, and to give the people what they deserve. It’s always a bit scary, but I’m trying my best.”
All hope is not lost. In the mid-credits of the film, Rocket Racoon is introduced and a new team of Rocket Racoon and Groot are brought together. Adam Warlock, Cosmo the Spacedog, and Phyla-Vell complete the group. Marvel has not confirmed anything, but fans believe that this scene could be the basis for a new film that revolves around the Guardians of the Galaxy and their misfits.

Though the theory hasn’t been officially confirmed, it has been confirmed that Chris Pratt will return as Peter Quill aka Star-Lord. It is unclear in what capacity he will return. The text that appears on the screen at the end of the Guardians of the Galaxy 3 post-credits sequence says, “The legendary Star-Lord is returning”, much to the delight of fans.

Quill ended the film on Earth after he was reunited with his grandfather. A new character with ties to the former Guardian is teased. Although a solo starring Peter Quill aka Star-Lord is yet to be announced, Pratt’s return for the upcoming MCU Avengers: The Kang Dynasty or Avengers: Secret Wars films seems likely.
