Alyssa Sullivan and Lily Sutherland are preparing for the upcoming horror movie Evil Dead Rise. The film was written and directed by Lee Cronin. The movie will tell the twisted story of two estranged sisters’ reunion cut short due to the appearance of flesh-possessing demonic creatures. This forces them to fight for their lives as they confront the worst variant of family. Rob Tapert, a veteran franchise producer, is behind the film. Recently, the actors in the film have opened up about their physical training for the roles they played.
Alyssa Sullivan and Lily Sullivan talk about their physical training
Alyssa, when asked about the physical training they went through, was quoted as saying: “I love to be physical, and whenever I had an extra 30 minutes in our preparation weeks, I sneaked off to stunts to box with them because I knew I would need the stamina to make it through this shoot.” I learned that concentrating on choreography while acting is like rubbing my stomach and patting my head at the same.

Lily agreed, saying, “The physicality in this shoot is insane.” I didn’t expect it to be so intense. You can leave the set in a state of shock, or with huge bruises. Stuart Thorp, an incredible stunt coordinator, will teach you how to relax your body and not get into the true “fight or flight” mode. But for classic actors, when you hear the word “action,” you think, “Everything is real. I believe it!” And in one scene, as I fell straight on my elbow and rolled under a gate which was actually closing, I realized I wasn’t a stuntperson.”
