Daniel Kaluuya’s performance as Bing in “Fifteen Million Merits” is captivating. Bing lives in a world in which people are required to ride exercise bicycles incessantly to earn credits and generate energy. His monotonous existence is turned on its head when he meets Abi, played by Jessica Brown Findlay. He becomes determined to earn her enough credits so that she can participate in a talent competition and gain fame. This episode is a thought-provoking exploration of themes such as ambition, sacrifice, and the price of success in a dystopian world driven by technology.
