The country’s popular comedian Kapil Sharma is in a lot of discussion about his film Zwigato. During the promotion of this film, Kapil is also talking about his difficult times.
He had told me some time ago that he was struggling with thoughts of suicide at one point. He also recently told how he was troubled by alcohol addiction and depression and stress had become a part of his life.

Kapil Sharma told in a conversation with Aaj Tak that at that time he did not want to go out of his house and go to work. Due to this, the image of Kapil was also affected. People started feeling that Kapil’s behavior had changed a lot and due to him, the shooting was delayed many times. Kapil said that his mental health was not doing well during that period.

Kapil also said that during that time he had canceled a shoot at the last moment and the shoot was actually to happen with superstar Shah Rukh Khan. Kapil said that when you are intoxicated, you feel very confident, but when you come out of intoxication, you have to face the truth. I started drinking heavily to make myself feel better.

He further said that the format of my show was such that I could not come late even if I wanted to. We had to shoot multiple segments throughout the day. But many times it also happened that I refused to shoot at the last moment. When Shah Rukh Khan’s shoot got canceled, he came to meet me after 3-4 days. He is the superstar of the industry. He has seen everything in this industry.

Kapil further said that Shahrukh called me in his car. We talked for an hour. He asked me does he take drugs. I told them that I do not take drugs but I do not feel like working anymore. He said many nice things to me after that. He counseled me in a way. But this was a situation where if you didn’t make up your mind to get better, nobody could do anything.

Kapil said that he came out of depression after two years when he went to Europe with his wife. He had realized what it was like to live like a normal human being. Since then Kapil has never looked back.
